Miss. Sally Azar
Beirut, Lebanon – On the 16th of June, the daughter of Bishop Sani Ibrahim Azar graduated from the Near East School of Theology. Miss Azar has completed a four-year degree in theology and plans to pursue an advanced degree in theology in Germany next year, and then seek ordination in the ELCJHL.
During the commencement, Bishop Emeritus Munib Younan delivered a speech of encouragement to Miss. Azar and another female graduate from Syria. He said that the church could not be complete without the participation of women in Word and Sacrament.
