Maundy Thursday Service Held in Jerusalem

“So if I, your teacher and Lord, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you ought to wash one another’s feet.”

Tonight we held the annual multi-lingual Maundy Thursday service in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem, but without the traditional procession through the Old City and candlelight prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.

We pray for a world of peace, where we remember to wash one another’s feet, in Christ’s example.
