LWF General Secretary Visits ELCJHL
Bishop Azar and the ELCJHL were honored to receive the solidarity visit of LWF’s General Secretary Rev. Dr. Anne Burghardt and her colleague Mrs. Caroline Tveoy. The General Secretary met with Bishop Azar, the ELCJHL church council and pastors, and the directors of our Diaconal, Gender Justice, and Environmental ministries, in addition to other local partners.
This strong act of partnership and solidarity lifts the spirits of the church, and helps us feel as though we are not alone. We are grateful for their witness, and pray together with our Lutheran sisters and brothers around the world for justice and peace.
