First Day of School in ELCJHL Schools

Today is the first day of the new school year for our ELCJHL schools! We are so proud of our students and teachers and we look forward to another year of learning and growing together.

For another year, the teachers and students of Gaza are not able to begin the school year as they should. Many students in the West Bank are unable to reach their classrooms due to Israeli checkpoints and barricades. As we begin a new semester, our prayers persist for a permanent ceasefire, a lasting peace based in justice, and for every child’s right to education to be protected.
