EEC Hosts Palestine Polytechnic University

The Environmental Education Center - Elcjhl welcomed today a group of second-year Biology students from Palestine Polytechnic University, accompanied by Dr. Sharaf Taradeh and Dr. Arwa Mujahid. The visit aimed to connect academic learning with practical environmental education through an interactive tour of the center.

The students visited the bird station where they learned about resident and migratory birds in Palestine, bird monitoring methods, and participated in releasing birds after studying and banding them as part of wildlife conservation efforts.

The tour continued with the EEC team, who introduced the students to the center’s environmental programs, sustainability activities, and work with schools and the local community.
Students also learned about native and introduced trees in Palestine, the importance of protecting local plants and biodiversity, and the environmental challenges affecting wildlife and ecosystems.
The visit concluded at the center’s museum, where students explored preserved birds and wild animals, enriching their understanding of Palestine’s natural environment.
