ELCIC and Anglican Church of Canada Support ELCJHL In Easter Message

WINNIPEG – In a pastoral letter from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) National Bishop Susan C. Johnson and Archbishop Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, the joint Lutheran-Anglican communion in Canada expressed their “appreciation for the long and always deepening relationship that we share with the living stones who are our Lutheran and Anglican partners in the Holy Land.”

We thank the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) and the Anglican Church of Canada for their support.

A New Coadjutor Bishop for the Anglican Episcopal Diocese

2006 Anglican ConsecrationThe new Coadjutor Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem was consecrated on the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th at St. George’s Cathedral. Bishop Riah Abu El Assal presided at the consecration service for the new bishop, the Rt. Rev. Suheil Salman Dawani. They will lead the church together until Bishop Riah retires and Bishop Dawani continues leadership alone.
