JERICHO – The Environmental Education Center (EEC) set up a bird ringing (or bird banding) station in Jericho during the spring migration. Bird ringing is practiced around the world as a way to learn more about bird populations and migration and to help in conservation. This year, the EEC recorded two new bird species – the Rock Sparrow and the Desert Finch. Look through the photos to below to see two days worth of birds captured and released in the Jericho area.
