BEIT SAHOUR – The Lutheran Schools in the Holy Land gathered together at the Evangelical Lutheran School in Beit Sahour for the annual Spring Education Day. Spring Education Day is a day where the schools compete in topics of English, Arabic, Science, and Math. The students prepared for this day for months with qualifying rounds in their own schools.
The opening ceremony was a compilation of performances by the Lutheran Churches, including music and dance, as well as speeches by Mr. Saleh Billo, a representative of the Bethlehem Directorate of Education, and Dr. Charlie Haddad, Director of the Department of Education.

- Dar Al-Kalima Lutheran School’s Dabkeh Troop performed at the opening ceremony.
- For the English portion of the day, students chose topics.
- They were given time to write about their topics.
- And then presented them to a panel of judges.
- As well as in science and math competitions.
- The spelling bee.
