Last Friday was our annual ELCJHL Football Tournament in Beit Sahour. We missed the Evangelical Lutheran School of Hope in Ramallah due to difficult travel conditions, but we had a great time coming together as Lutheran schools to have some fun. The Good Shepherd Women’s Committee in Jordan and the ELCJHL Gender Justice Ministry collaborated to implement a community-building activity for the women of Jordan. The Deaf Ministry, under the Diaconal Ministry of the ELCJHL has begun hosting a beginner sign language course, in cooperation with the Palingual Center. Special thanks to coach Magda Sarabata, who taught beginner basics to our Deaf Ministry. The course will continue weekly.
