ELCJHL Libraries Project and ELCA Global Gifts: Working Together

For those of you from the United States of America, if you would like to donate via check, or if you would like your donation to be tax-deductible, you are welcome to follow the instructions below to donate to the ELCJHL Libraries Project: Opening a World of Possibilities through the ELCA Global Gifts Program.

Your cash donations via ELCA Global Gifts are an integral part of this project!

Cash donations given via ELCA Global Gifts will be used in one of two ways:

Your cash donation covers the in country shipping of books from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa to US-based groups visiting the ELCJHL who have agreed to carry books!
Your cash donation is also used to purchase more books for the ELCJHL Libraries Project: Opening a World of Possibilities

If you do not need a tax-deductible receipt for your donation, feel free to visit our bookstore to choose and purchase the books you would like to give today!

ELCA Global Gift Instructions

There are many Global Gift options through the ELCA, and so following the instructions below will ensure that your gift gets to the ELCJHL Libraries Project as quickly and smoothly as possible:

Make your check payable to "The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America"
On the memo line of your check write "ELCJHL Libraries Project - Global Gift"
Along with your check send a letter that includes the following information:
- Your name and address
- The dollar amount of your gift
- The designation of your gift to: "ELCJHL Libraries Project - Global Gift"
Send all of the above to:
- ELCA Global Mission
  Attn: The Rev. Twila Schock
  8765 W. Higgins Road
  Chicago, IL 60631-4101
Finally, email communication@elcjhl.org the same information as is in your letter, so we can make sure we can send you a big 'Thank You!'
