Working Together: the ELCJHL and ELCA Global Gifts

Through partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we are happy to offer our supporters in the USA an opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation toward the ministries of the ELCJHL.

Your donation via the ELCA Global Gifts can be directed toward various different areas of ministry and/or projects within the ELCJHL.

The list below will give you a flavor of each of our Global Gift opportunities. To learn more about any one of them, click on the highlighted links.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Libraries Project will help to bring new and creative English-language resources to the libraries of the four k-12 ELCJHL Schools in the West Bank.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Educational Ministries Fund will ensure that the ELCJHL Schools and Educational Programs continue to provide the most innovative education at the highest quality with expanded educational opportunities and improved facilities.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Scholarship Fund will help the ELCJHL Schools fund education for underprivileged students.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Congregational Ministries Fund will enable the six congregations of the ELCJHL to continue and expand their social and community programs.

Buildings for Dar al-Kalima College dedicated in December 2010.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Dar al-Kalima College Repayment Fund will be applied directly toward the principal loan of $1.2 million dollars that helped to construct the new Higher Learning Building of Dar al-Kalima college, which was dedicated in December 2010.

Your gift to the ELCJHL Baptismal Site Fund will help bring to fruition the vision of a Lutheran retreat center, open to all, at the Baptismal Site of Jesus Beyond the Jordan.

ELCA Global Gift Instructions

There are many Global Gift opportunities through the ELCA, and so following the instructions below will ensure that your gift gets to the proper ELCJHL Global Gifts project as quickly and smoothly as possible:

Make your check payable to "The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America"
On the memo line of your check write "ELCJHL" and the name of the project you wish to support. ELCJHL Global Gift opportunities include:

Along with your check send a letter that includes the following information:
- Your name and address
- The dollar amount of your gift
- The designation of your gift to: "ELCJHL" plus the name of the project, just like you wrote it on your check
Send all of the above to:

Finally, email communication@elcjhl.org the same information as is in your letter, so we can make sure we can send you a big 'Thank You!'
