25th Annual Olive Harvest Festival

Youth Old City Tour
The ELCJHL Gender Justice Ministry and Youth Ministry organized a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem for youth from the Jerusalem congregation, with help from church youth leaders. Despite living in Jerusalem, many of these youth have limited experience exploring their own holy sites due to safety concerns around accessing the Old City. Today, Palestinians in the Old City face violence and intimidation from Israeli soldiers, police, and armed settlers, leading to alienation within their own city. Peace Mediation Graduation Held
At the beginning of each school year, we celebrate a special milestone for students from the three ELCJHL schools who have completed a year-long journey in mediation and conflict resolution, one of the key programs led by the ELCJHL Education Office to promote peace, emotional intelligence, and student leadership. A group of students from ELCJHL schools recently traveled to Poland to participate in an international Model United Nations (MUN) conference. Youth Conference 2025
This weekend, university and working-aged youth from the ELCJHL and the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem came together for a conference in Jericho under the theme, “Our Hope in Jesus Christ.” Over 100 youth from the two churches spent four days together singing, praying, learning, and getting to know each other better. For another year, the teachers and students of Gaza are not able to begin the school year as they should. ELCJHL Ecclesiastical Court Meets
